Created on August 21st, 2021, this piece was inspired by the #Smaugust2021 prompt of a "Lightning" Dragon. The painting features a painterly rendering of storm clouds with a serpentine dragon flying amongst the lightning. This original creation by Katy Lipscomb is a one-of-a-kind item that is only available here: directly from the artist.

The piece is on a 9-inch by 12-inch piece of Fabriano Hot-Press watercolor board, the actual painted area is approximately 7-inches by 10-inches. The artwork was made using an opaque type of water medium known as gouaché.

Each original drawing that we produce is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation that comes signed with a Certificate of Authenticity. Originals are shipped in a Rigid Mailer with a flat backing board inside a sealed poly bag.
